What is Cosmetic Beauty?

Cosmetic Beauty

In today’s society, people often feel pressure to look their best. This can be due to a variety of reasons, such as wanting to make a good impression on others or feeling self-conscious about their appearance. Luckily, there are many ways to help improve one’s appearance with the use of cosmetic products and procedures.

One common Cosmetic Beauty product is a cleanser. Cleansers can be used to remove makeup, dirt and oil from the skin. They can also be used to add fragrance or moisturize the skin.

Other cosmetic products include makeup and facial enhancements. Makeup can be used to conceal blemishes, enhance a person’s natural features or even change one’s appearance completely to resemble a different person, animal or object. Facial enhancements, such as liposuction and Botox, are also popular cosmetic procedures. While they can be beneficial, there are some risks involved with these treatments.

The FDA defines a cosmetic as “articles intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, sprayed, introduced into or otherwise applied to the human body for cleansing it, beautifying it, promoting attractiveness, or altering its appearance.” Cosmetics may contain any substance, except for those that treat diseases or affect the structure or function of the body (e.g. dandruff shampoo, fluoride toothpaste and antiperspirant deodorant). GH Beauty Lab tested several cleansers and found this to be an effective, gentle formula that left our tester’s skin smooth, silky and nourished without drying it.
